How it works

  1. The cover of One Pen Pages: Christmas Markets of the World

    1. Pick a title

This one, or any of the others.

  2. A hand colouring the dotted shapes of a page with a dark pen

    2. One pen, any colour

Any fine felt tip or fineliner, 0.5 to 1 mm. Every shape is big enough for it.

  3. A page from One Pen Pages: Christmas Markets of the World as it comes, with a small dot in every shape to colour: a narrow cobbled lane of leaning timber-framed houses lined with market stalls, a cathedral's square towers at the endThe same page coloured in with one black pen: a narrow cobbled lane of leaning timber-framed houses lined with market stalls, a cathedral's square towers at the end

    3. The picture appears as you colour

Colour every shape that has a dot and leave the rest white.

Look inside

Half coloured, so every picture stays a surprise.

  • The same page with its lower part coloured in with one black pen and the rest still to colour: a narrow cobbled lane of leaning timber-framed houses lined with market stalls, a cathedral's square towers at the end
  • The same page with its lower part coloured in with one black pen and the rest still to colour: a market at night beside a painted timber-framed house with a corner turret, a canal and snowy stalls in front
  • The same page with its lower part coloured in with one black pen and the rest still to colour: a market at night below a domed stone church, a tall wooden Christmas pyramid turning among the stalls
  • The same page with its lower part coloured in with one black pen and the rest still to colour: rows of snowy market stalls at night before a great columned gateway with a chariot on top
  • The same page with its lower part coloured in with one black pen and the rest still to colour: a white domed cathedral at the top of broad steps, market stalls in the snow below
  • The same page with its lower part coloured in with one black pen and the rest still to colour: a Christmas market at night beside a great stone suspension bridge with pointed arches
Do I need special pens?

No. Any dark pen you like holding works: a felt tip, a fineliner or a gel pen. Pens aren’t included.

I can’t draw. Will I manage?

Yes. There’s no drawing at all: you colour each shape that has a dot and leave the rest white, and the picture comes through as you go.

What if I colour the wrong shape?

Carry on. Each picture is made of lots of small shapes, so one stray shape hardly shows once the rest is coloured.

How long does a page take?

It depends on the page and on how you colour. A simpler page can take around 20 minutes, and a busy one an hour or more. There’s no clock on it: stop whenever you like, and the dots still showing mark where you got to.

Why does it cost more than a colouring book on Amazon?

We print your copy when you order it, on thick 170 gsm paper, with one picture to a sheet and nothing on the back, and spiral-bind it so it lies flat. The 35 scenes in each book were made for that book, every page is checked before it’s printed, and tracked delivery is in the price.

Is it a good gift?

Yes. It arrives ready to give, and we post it straight to the address you give us. Its cover has a gift tag printed on it, with "For" and a line for their name. Colouring left-handed? Choose Left by the button and every picture goes on the left-hand page, at the same price. For Christmas delivery to the UK, order by Monday 30 November.

When will it arrive?

Before you pay, we show the date it arrives by. It goes by tracked post, and we email you the tracking link when it’s on its way.

Can I send it back?

You can cancel for any reason within 14 days of the day your order arrives. Send the books back unused and we’ll refund you in full within 14 days of getting them back. Return postage is yours to pay, unless something is faulty. Your legal rights aren’t affected. Within 30 days, if anything’s wrong with the book, we replace or refund it, even if you’ve started. Your legal rights aren’t affected. How cancelling works.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, for all ages from 8. The spiral binding isn’t meant for small children.

Can I mix titles in a pack?

Yes. Any titles, or the same one twice. The pack discount comes off by itself in your basket: 2 books 10% off, 3 books 15%, 4 books 20%, 5 or more 25%.

Can I post a pack to different people?

Not yet: a pack goes to one address in one parcel. For different addresses, place separate orders.
