Your photos and privacy
We use your photos only to make your order. We never sell them or use them in adverts. Here is exactly who sees them and when we delete them.
Who sees them
We never sell your photos or use them in adverts. Only the services that make your order see them, such as Google’s AI and the printer. Google may keep a copy for up to 55 days to check for misuse, then deletes it.
- Google, whose AI draws the pages.
- Our printer, Gelato, which receives the finished pages, not your photos.
We never use your photos to train AI. Google doesn't use them to train its AI models either, apart from the systems it uses to spot misuse.
When we delete them
- If you don’t order
- 7 days after your preview, with the pages we drew.
- If you order
- No more than 30 days after it’s delivered, so we can remake it if anything’s wrong.
- The pages and print files we make for your order
- 90 days after delivery.
We can’t keep your photos for longer than this, even if you ask.
Delete my photos now
Use the “Delete my photos now” link in your order emails, or email us from the address you used and we’ll delete our copies within a day. Once they’re deleted we can’t remake from them.
This deletes our copies. It can’t reach the copy Google may keep for up to 55 days to check for misuse.
Photos of children
Many of the photos we receive are of children and grandchildren. When you upload, you confirm you’re 18 or over and that you’re the person pictured, their parent or guardian, or have their permission. We never put a child’s photo or likeness in an advert, on our website or on social media without the parent’s or guardian’s written consent.
If you’re in a photo someone sent us, or you’re the parent of a child in one, email hello@happilydrawn.com and we’ll stop and delete it the same working day.
Every detail, including your rights and how to complain, is in our privacy notice.
